Interior Landscapes
Klaustur Gallery
2005 residency/2007 solo exhibition
The extreme weather patterns of Eastern Iceland bracketed movement in the open with the creation of work in interior landscapes. What I captured here in 2007 is the changing elements of nature--their mood and color, their largeness and gravity.
The room installation Interior Landscapes included "Dot Piece," which was inspired by the stones of an outer wall outside, and the ever-changing weather.
The pastel drawings are a narrative response to the changing elements of Fljotsdalur Valley as seen through the small panes of my window.
